| This week has been friggin long. Sooo slow, I was definitely pushing to get through it. So classes and first impressions...
AP Spanish- Olsen
We
get too much daily homework in this class, and it doesn't seem like the
teacher likes me because I kept getting confused on what exactly is
due. At least there are some cool people in my class.
Military History- Ditella
Coming
from Spanish, this class is like Heaven. Ditella is an awesome teacher
and the subject in general is really interesting. This is one of the
easier classes I'm taking too, so yeah, good stuff.
Advisory- Casey
Some
random class the school puts into our schedules so we can meet the
people we're going to be near during graduation. I just use it as a
short study hall. Zach's in it with me, so that's nice.
Honors Physics- Richter
The
teacher is a pretty interesting person. She does all sorts of things
with her eyes and speaks sort of oddly. So far we've done a lot of
group stuff and she hasn't given much homework, so it hasn't been too
bad. I hear it gets a lot worse though.
AP Calc AB- Johnson
For
sucking at math, I might actually make it through this class. It helps
a lot that my assigned seat is front row center, so as much as it
sucks, it helps a lot. I know some people in this class, so that makes
it a lot better, plus the teacher is pretty awesome. Just the fact that
she's black makes the class more interesting. Yay for cultural
differences.
Lunch
Yay for having a good sized group of people to chill with at lunch, plus Melv is in there, which makes it a million tims better.
Symphonic Band I - Dandeles
Yay
for playing in a full band rather than having a four person class.
Dandeles is a cool guy, and Katie P is playing baritone with me, so
it's good stuff.
AP English IV- Haga
This should be a good
class, seem to be a lot of interesting characters in it. Melv, Tony,
and Mustafa are in the class too, so that's definitely nice.
PE
Yeah
we haven't really done anything so far, but at least we get to pick our
units. I'm signed up for tennis, team handball, pickleball, and floor
hockey. Plenty of cool people in this class as well. | | |
| Things have been pretty mellow lately. Just hanging out and enjoying
the last week before band starts. Last Friday was full of awesomeness
though :D
So
last Friday, Melv and I headed up to Schaumburg to meet up with Grace,
Jay, and Lita. After having a run in with the Popo and getting a little
sidetracked thanks to Yahoo! maps, we met up at the mall and then drove
over to Gameworks in the shiny Mazda6. They had Initial D, so we pretty
much went krazy. Naturally I had to woop up on Melv, though he did win
one race. We played a bunch of random games and messed around. Grace's
sister met up with us while we were there as well.
After all
the gaming, we picked up the camera and some batteries and went over to
Medieval Times. We ended up telling the people we had three minors so
we could get in for less, so that worked out. They gave us yellow
crowns because we were in the yellow knight section, but Christine kept
trying to run off with the other colors hehe. We went inside and Melv
started taking a bunch of pictures like usual. Soon the show started
and we all started cheering like krazy and whatnot. So yeah, the show
was pretty cool, over dramatic and exaggerated of course, but hey it
was cool. The food was good, we pretty much owned the chicken or "baby
dragon" as they called it. Anyways, our knight won the whole thing, and
after the show was done we checked out this little museum type thing
with all these torture devices. Some of them were pretty disgusting,
and I think Melv managed to take a pic of every single one. Speaking of
pics, after the little museum, Lita and Christine took this silly
picture with the knight. I'll put it up at the end.
Medieval
Times was followed by a trip out to Oberweis that happened to be filled
with some intense chess gameplay. After the ice cream, we said our good
byes to Grace and Lita, and Jay drove us back to Melv's car which was
still in the mall parking lot. We took a few more pics and then we
started the drive back home. We just backtracked and it worked out
fine, but now we know a little easier way to get there.
So yeah, frickin good times :D | | |
